Treatment for Chronic Neck and Back Pain

Client Testimonials

I am a long term Crohn's disease patient ... and for the first time in 8 years I feel I can function on an almost normal basis. [After just six months] Dr. VanDercar has given me my life back! I can't say enough about how caring and nonjudgmental Dr. VanDercar is and would recommend him to ANYONE in chronic pain... -M.M.
I have been a patient of Dr. VanDercar's since October of 2005. He is the only one in the last ten years that has been able to help me with my hereditary spastic paraparesis, interstitial cystitis, ulcerative colitis, and gastroparesis. My pain is tolerable now. If you need a good pain doctor- he's the one to go to!!

Treatment Information

We treat a wide variety of chronic pain syndromes, including:

Treatement for neck and back painThese are not the only conditions we treat; rather, they are a few examples of common conditions that we see on a day-to-day basis. In general, we tend to treat all conditions that are known to cause chronic pain. While, on occasion, we will treat a patient with acute pain, it is only on a short-term basis.

To be eligible for treatment a patient's pain must be severe enough that it interferes with their day-to-day functioning. Furthermore, their pain must be chronic and intractable - meaning that the patient has, over a sufficient period of time, attempted to control their pain with more conservative forms of therapy without success, i.e.: rest and physical therapy, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc.

We do not treat migraines, however, we will treat a patient's headache if there is a documented pathology capable and likely to be producing pain (i.e.: a patient with an MRI that shows cervical pathology).
